Born in 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio U.S.A.
I am a self-taught creator of computer graphics and animations, and paintings. I began creating computer-based art in the 1970s, in college, with programs on punch cards. Then I started experimenting with animation at the dawn of personal computers. In 1993 I won acclaim as one of the top five amateur animators in Cleveland by the local chapter of the National Computer Graphics Association! I purchased brushes and acrylic paints and I started teaching myself to paint. My art technique and sophistication have evolved in conjunction with the capabilities of home computers.
While researching the possibility of printing and selling some of my creations I discovered Print-on-demand fulfillment services. I have contracted with the largest one and through them made my first sale an 84"X37.5" print on metal. (See "Waterfall-Gem Abstract" in the Gallery!)
The print-on-demand service expanded the scope of products I can offer while taking care of all the printing and business-related tasks allowing me to concentrate on creating the artwork.
Retired now, after over 40 years in retail, I devote much of my time to my art. The rest is spent visiting with my long-time friend and companion and her / our grandchildren and going to see live music. seeing old friends and making new ones!
I work out of my cluttered apartment studio and workshop within walking distance of Lake Erie.
